Fly into Bandaranaike International Airport (BIA/CMB) in Colombo. From there, Adyaa is a 90-minute drive via the Colombo–Kurunegala highway.

🚂 By Train
Take the scenic train to Alauwa Station (15 min from Adyaa). We offer complimentary pickup from the station. The Colombo–Alauwa train runs multiple times daily (~1.5 hrs).

Express buses from Colombo run to Kurunegala frequently (Rs 350, ~2.5 hrs).
From Kurunegala bus station, local buses to Dambadeniya take 30 minutes.

Travel Tips
Most nationalities can obtain an Electronic Travel Authorization (ETA) online before arrival at eta.gov.lk. Tourist visas are typically valid for 30 days and can be extended. Chinese and Nepali passport holders should check specific requirements.
Sri Lankan Rupee (LKR) is the local currency. We accept Visa, Mastercard, and UnionPay at the hotel. ATMs are available in Kurunegala (30 min away). USD and CNY can be exchanged at the airport or major banks.
Light, breathable clothing. Modest dress for temple visits (shoulders & knees covered). Comfortable walking shoes. Sunscreen & hat. Insect repellent. A light rain jacket. Swimwear for the pool. A warm layer for cool mornings.
No mandatory vaccinations for most travelers. Drink bottled water (provided free at Adya). Travel insurance is strongly recommended. The nearest hospital is Dambulla Hospital (2km from Adya). We have a first-aid trained team on site 24/7.
Sinhala is the primary language, with Tamil also widely spoken. English is understood in tourist areas and at Adyaa. Our staff also speak basic Mandarin and Nepali. WiFi is available throughout the property. Local SIM cards can be purchased at the airport.
Remove shoes before entering temples. Cover shoulders and knees. No hats or sunglasses inside. Photography may be restricted in some areas. Turn your back to Buddha statues for photos (don't pose with them). Our guides will brief you fully.
